Everything I buy from Amazon!
I am constantly forgetting things these days, so it’s really handy to have all these items on my Amazon prime wish list! If I realise last minute I don’t have something, it’s a relief to know I can click a button on my phone wherever I am and get it the next day.
Below you’ll find a list of all the items I buy from Amazon from piping bags to acid free tissue paper. Each item has a “shop now” link so you can go straight to Amazon and buy it or add it to your wish list.
LARGE ROUND PIPING TIPS
You can’t have too many round piping tips! They don’t need to be any fancy or expensive make, they just need to be round!
These cupcake dummies are great to practice on! The hole in the top is a little annoying… but I fixed that by hot gluing some acetate that I cut into little circles on top to cover them! Now I use them to make displays instead of baking more cupcakes. They are a little smaller that the cupcakes I bake, but stick them to the bottom of a cupcake case with a little double sided tape and once you crumb coat the top, nobody would know!
These Ilauke piping bags are my favourite to use. They are the perfect size, they rarely burst and they have a nice grip on the outside. They are also seamless so if you don’t want to wash up your round tips you can just snip a tiny amount off the end!
7oz paper cups. You can find these cups in varying quantites, but if you’re starting out or don’t have the space to buy in huge bulk these are perfect!
If you want to create number cakes or floral cupcake boxes, these 12″ number stencils are the perfect size for cupcakes. Washable and re-useable, you can also use them to carve numbers from your tray bakes.
I’ve only ever used cream or natural tissue paper for all my bouquets, from the time I started to now! It goes with every colour. When you buy tissue paper for the bouquets, make sure it’s “acid free” or “food safe”.
Finding your perfect green tissue paper can take time! Some people like a darker shade, some prefer light. I still have some of the very first green I brought in 2021! It’s personal preference as to what shade you use – but make sure it’s “acid free” or “food safe” when you buy.
Having a heavy duty tape dispenser is invaluable when making cupcake bouquets – you need both hands free! The small dispensers are ok, but you can’t beat having one like this to hand.
In the UK, by law you must let your customers know what allergens your food products contain. These allergen labels from Amazon are very basic, easy to use and easy for your customers to quickly see if there are anyallergens that will affect them eating your product. They come on a roll of 500.
If you are outside of the UK selling your home bakes, you must look up your own countries food legislation and be sure to adhere to them correctly.
These clear cupcake boxes are perfect for wedding favours, parties and gifts. They come with a white ribbon and are easy to assemble. Just peel off the protective covering and fold!
These clear cupcake boxes are popular with customers as they make a lovely gift. Peel off the protective coating and fold! Be sure to pipe your flowers small, as the space inside is quite tight.
Perfect for weddings for guests to take a cupcake home to eat later, for parties or even pop up stalls. They’re easy to put together, have a handy carry handle and they look cute! They’re also tall enough for a buttercream flower and the lowering system means you can get the cupcake in and out of the box with ease.
These 12 hole cupcake boxes aren’t as great as those from Box Your Bouqcakes – BUT if you’re on a budget and you want some cupcake boxes with extra space and height, these are pretty good. You have to push in the middle inserts well which is a little time consuming, but they do the job!
I use this case to store my bouquet equipment! It holds my cellophane rolls, ribbons, tissues etc and stands up so I can slot it into a space out of the way. Everything is safely and neatly stored in one place.
I really like this acrylic cupcake stand! It’s lovely quality, easy to put together and comes in a little bag to keep it nice when not in use. It’s packed flat so it’s also really easy to store. Hire it out for parties or weddings. I find it holds around 40 floral cupcakes (depending how over the edge of the case they’re piped) and any extra cupcakes look lovely scattered around it on the table.
You don’t need fancy or expensive scales for baking! I use these basic digital ones. They weigh everything in lbs and oz. The battery is easy to replace and they work perfectly!
I have a few cupcake tins now, but I started out with just one. I recommend having at least 2 as the 4 egg cake mix recipe can yield more than 12 cupcakes at a time.
I have a KMix by Kenwood – it was a Christmas present to me about 11 years ago – and it’s still working perfectly! This one isn’t the cheapest on the market, but a good make that will last is usually a good investment. This is the closest version to the one I have. The most important thing is to make sure you buy a mixer that comes with the paddle attachment for making buttercream!
With 76% of Amazon buyers giving this stand mixer a 5* review, I think you can take it that it’s a good one! If you’re on a budget then have a look at this mixer and read the spec to see if it suits you.
