This is a short video on how to pipe 2 easy buttercream flowers using a #104 piping tip. You can use any of the tear drop petal shaped tips for these flowers – the number of tip you have will determine how large your petals are, for example a #102 will produce smaller petals and a #124 will produce larger petals. For the round centres in the video I have used a #4 but you can use any size small round that you have! If you don’t have any round piping tips, you can snip a little off the bottom of the piping bag and use it in exactly the same way as if you were using a piping tip.
To add a two tone effect to the buttercream colours, see my YouTube video on how to line a piping bag – but instead of lining it all the way round, just line a stripe of buttercream up one side of the bag. Make sure you align the thin end of the piping tip with the stripe. How thick or thin you line the bag with your colour will determine the finished look of your petals when you pipe them.
